Welcome to my world! A bit about me. I am married to my husband Ray of 24 years! After a few years of marriage we had our son Nicholas, now 22 and daughter Maddie, 19. They are my everything and my inspiration for my passion; photography.

I had always been photographing my family, but when Nicholas was born with many special needs, photography became a challenge. Nicholas' primary diagnosis is a rare genetic condition called CDKL5. This disorder causes him to have extreme visual impairment, cerebral palsy, and epilepsy. He also has an Autism diagnosis, which means that getting him to look at the camera is nearly impossible. This challenge, along with never having a good school picture, inspired me to launch Corinne Michele Photography. I know so many parents like my husband and I who didn't have any great photographs of our first child. Taking him to a children's photographer was quite honestly sad and torture for all of us. They just didn't understand how to work with Nicholas and it was extremely awkward. We always left feeling depressed and felt like we had nowhere to go when it came to family portraits.

 

Thanks to my heart and inspiration, Nicholas, I am now a professional photographer who is dedicated to photographing all families, with a special focus on children with special needs and their families, young adults and children.  I want to be there for a community that has been there for me on so many occasions. I enjoy giving a gentle hug to the moms and dads of these amazing children and seeing the look of happiness and joy on their faces when they preview their first professional portraits of their child. I love having my sessions on location or where their special child is most comfortable and happy. I follow the child’s cues; if they are a mover, I am following. If your child is immobile, or chooses not to move around much, I take that lead too. I have compassion and patience and most of all understanding. This is first and foremost the driving factor in my professional career. I look forward to having you as my client and most importantly, capturing the grace and beauty of your special child or family so that you have a memory to last a lifetime.
